Sale price$3,695.00

A Quiet yet Meaningful Design From a Usually Loud Brand.

DESCRIPTION

When People Talk about Corum, usually you hear about the bubble (which we love) or occasionally, the famous gold coin watches are mentioned. The Admirals Cup is rarely brought up even though it is one of the oldest models Corum has to offer. The first iteration of the Corum Admiral was made in 1960, a mere 5 years after the brands inception. Here's what it looked like,

It wasn't until 1983 that Corum introduced the familiar iteration of the Admiral's Cup with numeral pennants for the hour markers that correspond to the ICS(International Code for Signals) made for ships traveling across international waters as a means of communication. All of this with its 12 sided case design, Bulky yet elegant crown guard, and incredible bracelet makes this the watch to take you back to the early 2000's when this was the watch to own at the time.

BRAND HISTORY

Corum, founded by René Bannwart, is a relatively young Swiss watch brand, established in 1955 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. René Bannwart had previously worked at prestigious watch companies like Patek Philippe and Omega, where he gained significant experience and expertise in the industry.

In 1956, Corum released its first watches and quickly gained recognition for its originality and creativity. The brand introduced a series of innovative ideas that set it on a path to success. One notable watch from the early years was the "Chinese Hat" watch for ladies, named for its distinctive bezel shape.

Throughout its history, Corum has embraced a fusion of innovation and tradition, making its mark in the watch industry. The brand's commitment to craftsmanship and design has allowed it to create unique timepieces that stand out in the market.

Corum is particularly known for its Admiral's Cup collection, which was first introduced in 1960 and has become an iconic part of the brand's identity. The Admiral's Cup features a twelve-sided bezel adorned with nautical pennants that correspond to an international maritime code, serving as hour markers.

Over the years, Corum has continued to innovate and release new collections, showcasing its technical expertise and artistic craftsmanship. The brand has garnered a reputation for creating timepieces that push boundaries in terms of design, material usage, and complications.

In the year 2000, Corum released the Bubble which are highly sought after watches for a niche part of the watch community. Known for its loud and large size and oversized magnifying sapphire crystal. The Watch quickly gained favor and notoriety in the watch world.
